Raised Pillbox and Trench System 28mm
This is a large, very well detailed and elaborate terrain piece that I've been working on for a while.
The
defences include a four pronged dugout trench, along with a supply of
fully removeable sandbag pieces to give troops full cover. The center
of the trench is expanded to allow heavy weapon placement or small
armour to go hull down.
The
anchor of the defence has to be the concrete pillbox cast from solid
hydrostone (shipped in unfinished slabs) and featuring a removeable
roof for troop placement. The rock outcropping has been designed to
place the pillbox on top, but as the building is not glued down, you
can use it anywhere you like.
Ground
cover is modelled with a variety of textures, including static grass
applied with Noch's Electrostatic Applicator for grass that stands
almost vertical, like grasses in a real field. Further texture is added with both open and closed cell foams, giving a really nice, varied and natural look to the piece.
